About the Course:

In this course, the student will learn the steps intended to support funeral directors who care for the mental health needs of the bereaving family and friends as they plan the loved one’s memorial.


Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the learner should be able to:
  • Explain the role of bereavement services
  • List and give examples of some general considerations of interventions that help in the bereavement process
  • Justify the role of funeral rituals in mourning
  • Discuss the role of support groups in helping the bereaved
