Back Care - Improving Spinal Health
Many people seek medical treatment for back pain at some point in their lives. In fact, it has become one of the most common medical problems for an estimated 80% of American adults. When traditional medicine doesn't relieve the pain, massage therapy is often considered as an alternative for relief. As a massage therapist, it is your responsibility to be knowledgeable of the crucial structures related to the spine in order to provide your clients with quality care. Your instructor, Jim Menz, will provide you with a deeper knowledge of some of the major pathologies which can impede spinal health and will arm you with a comprehensive approach to assisting your clients, including key stretching and strengthening exercises.
