About the Course
The purpose of this course is to review current knowledge about the management of parasitic infections and provide healthcare workers with information on the changing landscape of such infections as climate changes.

- Discuss the impact of climate change on individual parasitic diseases and how healthcare providers should be prepared to adjust.
- Describe management of parasitic infections and predicted changes that will affect healthcare providers.

About the Author
Madeline King, PharmD, is an infectious diseases clinical pharmacist at Cooper University Healthcare. She obtained her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Texas, doctor of pharmacy from Texas A&M, and completed a PGY1 at New York Presbyterian Hospital followed by a PGY2 in infectious diseases at Temple University. She served as faculty at a college of pharmacy for 6 years and is now instituting outpatient antimicrobial stewardship as co-director of the outpatient antimicrobial stewardship program for the Cooper health system. She is also currently working on her masters of public health degree and hopes to use skills learned through this program to improve health communication and education to the public. She regularly uses Twitter to discuss infectious diseases and public health topics, and lead virtual chats.
