About the Course 
This continuing education course provides important background information on the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy, its role in revising and adopting changes to the law, and important Arizona State Pharmacy Law updates from Early 2021 through the first half of 2023.

Upon the completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

  • Identify the role of the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy in introducing new legislation or revising existing legislation
  • Explain the process of participating in Arizona State pharmacy rule changes and where to find updates to Arizona State pharmacy law
  • Discuss the initial and continuous eligibility requirements for an Arizona license to practice pharmacy
  • Discuss the initial and continuous eligibility requirements for an Arizona pharmacy permit
  • Explain important aspects of the scope of pharmacy practice in Arizona
  • Describe updates to Arizona Pharmacy law occurring between January 2021 and May 2023.

About the Author/Presenter 
Patricia Weiser is a licensed pharmacist and freelance medical writer. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
