About this Course
This course is intended to provide an introduction to pediatric obesity. An overview of the risk factors for pediatric obesity, diagnostic criteria, obesity related complications and treatment will be described.

About the Presenter
Dawn Demangone Yoon, MD, has more than 20 years of clinical experience as a Board-Certified Emergency Physician in both Academic and Community settings. In addition to clinical practice, her career has included didactic and clinical medical education on a wide variety of topics for diverse medical professional audiences. Dr. Demangone Yoon developed a keen interest in Obesity Medicine after being asked to author educational material on the subject several years ago. Discovering a passion for the subject led to continued education in Obesity Medicine, resulting in the award of Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine in 2022. She continues to develop and explore this complicated and commonly misunderstood field of medicine.
