About the Course
This course introduces manual evaluation techniques of the connective tissue surrounding the shoulder complex. Evaluation techniques are designed to identify tissue-specific impairments to individualize treatment. Treatments range from manual therapy techniques for soft tissue and joint restrictions to strengthening exercises for weakness and/or instability.

About the Author
Dr. Steve Middleton serves as the Director of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine at Assess, Treat & Condition, an outpatient clinic in Fulton, MO where he specializes in conditions of the lumbo-pelvic- hip complex. He has 20+ years of experience in a combination of roles treating a variety of patients including athletes from high school to college as well as professional athletes in the NFL and Olympics. Dr. Middleton also serves as the Program Director of the Master of Athletic Training Program at William Woods University in Fulton, MO. In addition to maintaining national accreditation, he teaches Orthopedic Evaluation of the Lower Extremities and Lumbar Spine, Orthopedic Evaluation of the Upper Extremities and Cervical Spine, Therapeutic Exercise, and Manual Therapy. He previously taught in the Department of Kinesiology at Southern Illinois University as well as serving as both a clinical instructor for the Athletic Training Education Program and a guest lecturer in the Physician’s Assistant program during their orthopedic rotations.
