Interesting salary trends in the personal financial market for CMOs
This year showed a top spot held by CMOs, with 14.3% of those polled reporting a salary increase of greater than 5% in the past year, and 14.3% also reporting a salary in the range of $400,000-449,999 overall.
These numbers are indicative of a healthcare market that’s shifting toward value-based care over volume-based care. It’s also indicative of a healthcare market that’s putting an increasing emphasis on patient experience. Executives with the healthcare expertise and leadership potential to drive this new time of population health are becoming indispensable. Along this line, another new trend adding to the marketability of the CMO is the rise of online master’s degree and other continuing education programs that focus on leadership skills for healthcare executives.
