Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center has named Dr. Kris D. Gray to serve as chief medical officer (CMO). Gray replaces Dr. Ronald Jimenez who became chief executive officer for Florida Hospital Flagler in April, according to a press release from Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center.
In this new role, Gray will oversee Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center’s activities and functions related to physicians and patient care, including medical staff services, credentialing, compliance with accrediting bodies, patient satisfaction, infection control and other quality of care measures, the press release notes.
Gray has 23 years of experience with Adventist Health System and most recently served as CMO at Florida Hospital DeLand.
Gray, an Apopka resident, earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich., and a medical degree from Loma Linda University in California. He completed his family medicine residency at Hinsdale Hospital (now known as Adventist Hinsdale Hospital) in Illinois.
He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, is a Fellow of American Academy of Family Medicine, and served as clinical faculty for the Florida State University College of Medicine.
Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center is a member of Adventist Health System, a faith-based health care organization with 46 hospital campuses and nearly 8,200 licensed beds in 10 states, according to the press release.
