HCA North Texas Expands

HCA North Texas, one of the region’s largest and most comprehensive health care providers, has acquired Forest Park Medical Center in Dallas from FPMC Realty Partners III and BT Forest Park Realty Partners, LP, according to a press release from HCA North Texas.

The purchase includes two hospital towers, the parking garage and a 4-acre parcel of land adjacent to the buildings. The 190,000 square foot hospital, located just north of Forest Lane on I-75, has 84 beds, 22 operating suites, and 16 ICU rooms. Future plans for the hospital will be released at a later date.

“Medical City Dallas Hospital is growing to meet community need,” said Erol Akdamar, division president, HCA North Texas. “We will carefully evaluate the best use of this premiere facility to enhance the exceptional complement of services we provide for both adults and children.”

In little more than a year, HCA North Texas has acquired Medical City Frisco, opened Medical Center Alliance, acquired the CareNow urgent care network, and elevated trauma programs across its 13 hospitals.

With the resources and strength of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), a provider of quality healthcare services with 165 hospitals in the United States and England, HCA North Texas is one of the region’s largest healthcare providers and includes 16 hospitals, 79 patient care sites, more than 5500 active physicians and 15,000 employees in Dallas-Fort Worth and Oklahoma.
