UNC REX Healthcare announced Andrew Zukowski will join its executive team as CFO. In his new role, Zukowski will help guide a growing health system with nearly $1 billion in annual revenue and more than 5,800 co-workers. Zukowski starts on Aug. 22.
“Andy brings an intelligent, caring leadership style that we know will fit well with our culture,” said UNC REX President Steve Burriss. “He has a successful track record of working collaboratively with leaders at a large academic medical center, physician networks and smaller community hospital partners. We look forward to learning from his expertise.”
Since July 2011, Zukowski has served as senior finance executive at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor, Mich., according to a press release from UNC Rex. He oversaw all financial aspects of the Hospitals and Health Centers division, with a $2.5 billion operating budget.
Zukowski was an accounting major at the University of Toledo and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He went on to earn a Master’s in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University.
