  1. discuss the need for anatomic pathology laboratories to be aware of the cultural and religious beliefs of patients concerning their specimens.
  2. list resources for developing policies to meet religious and cultural beliefs.
  3. describe several routine procedures in anatomical pathology that may need to be adjusted for the religious or cultural beliefs of the patient.
  4. identify some religions and cultures that have customs which may require an anatomic pathology laboratory to adjust certain procedures.
