This year’s conference will continue to analyze the complexities involved in maintaining collaborative relationships across a health system network and within neighboring facilities outside the network. Evidence based process improvement in stroke systems of care and their benefits for patients will be discussed. Future directions in expediting delivery of care within comprehensive stroke centers will be reviewed.
The keynote presentation for this conference will be delivered by Dileep Yavagal, MD. He is also the recipient of the honorary lecture award for this year. The Award will be presented by Martin Gizzi, MD, PhD.
Dr. Dileep R. Yavagal, MD is the Director of Interventional Neurology; Co-Director of Neuroendovascular Surgery; and Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Miami & Jackson Memorial Hospitals. Dr. Yavagal is renowned for his current research on the therapeutic uses of stem cells in stroke patients and will be this year’s recipient of the Dr. Martin Gizzi Distinguished Lecture Award.
