Event takes place in Milwaukee in late September
The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) will host a Children & Youth Specialty Conference at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center on September 28–29.
Attendees can register for the event on the Association’s website for a cost of $325 for AOTA members and $490 for nonmembers. The prices increase to $370 and $550 respectively after September 4. Rates are also available for daily registrations.
Pre-Conference Seminars take place on September 27 and are included in the total of 20 contact hours attendees can earn at the event. The two Pre-Conference Seminars are entitled:
- A Strengths-based Approach to Evaluating Occupation in Children and Youth
- Addressing Trauma and Resilience in Children and Youth: The Role of the Occupational Therapist
On Friday morning, Wendy J. Ross, MD, FAAP will deliver the keynote address, “All In: Partnerships to Advance Participation in Community Settings.” Concurrent sessions take place throughout the day until 4:30 p.m., when attendees will be invited to view poster presentations.
Saturday kicks off with an unopposed session “The Power of Coaching to Enhance Occupational Therapy Practice.” Sessions ill continue throughout the day until the conference wraps up at 4:30 p.m.
