EPA National Environmental Leadership Award for Asthma Management

The US Environmental Protection Agency is accepting applications for its 2013 National Environmental Leadership Award in Asthma Management. Healthcare organizations and communities in action that address environmental triggers as part of an overall asthma management program must submit an application by midnight on Tuesday, Feb. 12 for a chance to be recognized for their work. Winners will be recognized in May during Asthma Awareness Month, receive customized press kits, and earn a spot in the National Environmental Leadership Award in Asthma Management Hall of Fame.

This year, schools can also apply for the School-Based Asthma Program Award under the Communities in Action category. The award stresses the importance of effectively managing asthma to create a healthy and productive learning environment.
