Philips Respironics, a division of Royal Philips spotlighted The ANSWER at Medtrade Spring, showcasing in Las Vegas March-April 1 the latest in connected sleep and respiratory care products, therapy advancements and resupply options designed to provide greater value to homecare providers’ businesses while enhancing patient compliance and adherence to therapy.
“HMEs today are facing unprecedented pressure to offer patient-centric solutions that can enable smarter, more efficient business operations,” said John Frank, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Philips Respironics. “Philips’ connected health technology solutions leverage insights from data and devices to improve quality of life for patients while offering HMEs new opportunities to simplify business processes and make the best use of their resources.”
The ANSWER – a three-phased process that enables HMEs to seamlessly connect Philips’ products, technology and workflow innovations to help transform their businesses ª- addresses the key aspects in the sleep patient’s journey from set-up, to compliance, through ongoing resupply. Recent additions to the program include:
Integration with Brightree®- Data from Philips’ EncoreAnywhere platform can now be integrated with Brightree’s web-based billing and business management platform. With the added benefits of interoperability, joint customers are able to better track and manage therapy compliance of sleep-disordered breathing patients.
Upgrades to SleepMapper: The new SleepMapper Outreach tool is designed to keep patients engaged in their OSA therapy. This new feature can prompt a patient when a problem is detected, sending emails, texts and push notifications to patients when their compliance is low or mask fit is below optimal levels. It also sends out positive reinforcement, notifying patients when they are meeting their self-identified goals, encouraging them to continue their good work.
Several new additions to Philips’ sleep and respiratory care product offerings are designed to bolster compliance for CPAP and respiratory patients. These innovations, which all feature smaller, lighter and more compact designs, assist HMEs in addressing patient desires while streamlining operations. New Philips products on display at Medtrade Spring include:
Pico CPAP mask – Designed to maximize comfort and effectiveness, Pico is the smallest and lightest traditional[1] continuous positive air pressure (CPAP) mask available on the market to treat OSA, making minimal contact with the face, while still providing a tight seal.
SimplyGo Mini – The SimplyGo Mini portable oxygen concentrator (POC) is lightweight and ideal for patients on the go. It has the highest oxygen output of any POC weighing five pounds or less[2] and has undergone the same rigorous testing as traditional POC products to ensure performance and reliability.
Innospire Mini – This compressor nebulizer system is compact, lightweight and reliable, making it ideal for traveling. InnoSpire Mini’s size allows for easy transport while a SideStream Plus breath-enhanced reusable nebulizer makes it easy for patients to use.
