Heather O’Connell, MSM, RRT, ACCS, CPFT, 3rd Edition Author
Heather O’Connell has been a respiratory therapist for 15 years. She has worked in many different areas of the field, such as critical care, pulmonary function and bronchoscopy, and labor and delivery. Heather earned her associate’s in science from Edison State College, her bachelor’s in cardiopulmonary sciences from the University of Central Florida, and her master’s in healthcare administration from Southern New Hampshire University. She worked as a clinical preceptor from 2010 until 2015, when she became a full-time director of clinical education for respiratory care at Florida Southwestern State College. She has taught various classes such as Assessment, Mechanical Ventilation, and Therapeutics. Heather has also participated in course revisions for Western Schools and authored a chapter in Linz’s Comprehensive Respiratory Diseases. Heather began working for Elite as the respiratory care planner in 2020 and has published multiple courses at Elite.
