Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Other Sleep Disorders, 3rd Edition
16
About the Course
This intermediate course is designed to provide respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals with current knowledge regarding obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and other sleep disorders. While many healthcare professionals have a cursory knowledge of the nature of sleep and the disorders associated with it, the depth of knowledge necessary to adequately screen and diagnose individuals with sleep disorders is not widespread across all medical disciplines. Although sleep medicine is its own specialty, all medical disciplines can screen for signs and symptoms of sleep disturbances and pathological outcomes associated with undiagnosed and untreated sleep disorders.
Learning Objectives
