New Jersey Social Worker Continuing Education Requirements And License Renewal

Mandatory Subjects:

• 5 hours of Ethics
• 3 hours of Social and Cultural Competency
• 1 hours of Prescription Opioid Drugs

Note: All health care professionals who provide perinatal treatment and care to pregnant persons are required one credit on implicit and explicit bias, every renewal period. Completion of a continuing education course pursuant to section 2, 3, 4, 5, or 7 of P.L. 2021/Ch 79 shall be deemed to have satisfied the requirement for the licensure or certification period in which the course was completed.
