Renewal CE Requirements

Category Requirements
Arizona physical therapists must complete 20 contact hours every renewal period, with at least 10 hours from Category A activities (up to the full 20 hours may be Category A). No more than 10 hours may come from a combination of Category B and/or Category C activities. Category A includes CE courses, PT clinical specialty certification coursework, PT clinical residency coursework, and post-graduate PT education approved by an accredited program, a national or state PT/health care association, or a national PT/health care specialty society; no more than half of Category A hours may be non-clinical. Category B includes study groups of at least 3 people, self-instruction (correspondence, video, internet, or satellite program), and in-service education programs.
