Renewal CE Requirements
Continuing Competence Units
Texas physical therapists must complete 30 continuing competence units (CCUs) every renewal period (2-year cycle). All licensees must complete the Jurisprudence Assessment Module (TX JAM) as part of the total requirement.

Human Trafficking Prevention Training
Texas physical therapists must complete a minimum of 1 CCU of Human Trafficking Prevention Training approved by the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), as mandated by HB 2059 (86th Legislature, 2019).
