Manual Therapy and Therapeutic Exercise for Common Orthopedic Conditions and Functional Mobility 4
Course release date: 7/7/2025
Course Overview
Manual therapy and therapeutic exercise are foundational interventions when treating orthopedic conditions. There is a growing body of evidence to support the use of these interventions together as they seem to augment the effectiveness of each other.
This course will look at recent evidence that demonstrates the effectiveness of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise relative to specific orthopedic conditions. Lab sessions will focus on demonstrating the manual therapy techniques and exercises that are found to be effective in treating conditions in the hip, knee, ankle, and shoulder. -
Resistance Training for Different Populations 4
Course release date: 4/07/2025
Course Overview
Resistance training programming is different for different populations; however, resistance training is often addressed as a specific program or routine without taking individual variability into account. The way the five key programming variables are used should differ depending upon the individual, fitness level, age, goals, and abilities. This course takes contemporary resistance training research for four distinct populations and shows the learner how to design safe and effective workouts for people with obesity, active aging , women over age 40, and athletes. By contrasting how resistance training is programmed for these different populations, learners are shown how to build safe and effective routines for each. -
