About the Course
The student will be able to analyze all the factors that led to the problem, assess which color correction procedure would be the best for each individual situation, and utilize color theory in order to choose the most flattering shade of hair color for each client.


Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the learner should be able to:

  • Match the correct shade to each color group in order to avoid hair color mistakes.
  • List three methods to remove semi-permanent color and five methods to remove permanent color.
  • Identify the most common mistakes made during foil and highlighting procedures and assess the best method of color correction for each process.
  • Restate seven examples of blonde hair coloring errors and formulate a correction plan for each mistake.
  • Discuss the effectiveness of natural color removal processes versus chemical color removers.
  • Discuss four different techniques to remove fantasy colors; determine the safest way achieve a desirable color utilizing the color wheel.
  • Describe three common mistakes made when coloring hair red; discuss four methods of correcting a bad color job.
