Burnout is common among healthcare workers. Characteristics of the health care environment, including time pressure, lack of control over work processes, role conflict, and poor relationships between groups and with leadership, combine with personal predisposing factors and the emotional intensity of clinical work to put clinicians at high risk. Burnout is becoming increasingly common for today’s health professionals, and it can have a negative impact on your career and pose a threat to patient safety. Chill Out! Stress & Burnout in the Healthcare Professional addresses the increasingly common experience of burnout in the healthcare field.

This course will teach you the differences between stress and burnout. You will learn how to address stress, prevent burnout, and what steps to take to recover. Lastly, you’ll learn how to keep your sense of self, even when faced with professional and personal challenges.

About the Author
Jennifer Michelle is a marketer with over 8 years’ experience in the field. She has a master’s degree in public health from Tulane University.Jennifer previously worked as a Director of Marketing for a healthcare technology vendor and was an invited speaker at the 2017 Healthcare IT Marketing Conference.Jennifer first discovered marketing when launching her own athletic wear company, and has gone on to use her skills to help grow numerous businesses and community organizations. She currently provides consulting on marketing automation, marketing analytics and lead generation. She has a special affinity for the healthcare sector.
