Sexual harassment in the workplace can be prevented and/or discouraged with training, anti-harassment policies, and reporting. Employers are responsible for creating work environments that are safe for all employees and are free from harassment. Following the correct state and federal reporting guidelines, as well as having a clear understanding of what constitutes sexual harassment, can help to reduce the cases of harassment and provide a safe environment for all. This course will discuss the laws and regulations that define sexual harassment. It will also outline the many consequences that are caused by sexual harassment and how to report sexual harassment if one experiences or witnesses it in the workplace. Lastly, this course will review the laws that are in place to protect those who make a report. -
Current Strategies for Treating Iron-Deficiency Anemia in Adults 3

Course Overview
Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) is usually not life-threatening. However, the consequences of IDA are significant—a lower quality of life, impaired functioning, and increased risks to overall health. When anemia occurs alongside renal or cardiovascular chronic diseases, mortality rates are higher (Beavers, 2023; Shaikh, 2024). And when anemia occurs during pregnancy, worsened health outcomes can extend into subsequent generations. Treating iron deficiency anemia is straightforward using oral or intravenous iron products. Once iron stores are replenished, anemia usually quickly resolves. However, if the underlying causes of iron deficiency aren’t addressed or if iron stores aren’t made robust again, then anemia can easily return. What’s more, iron deficiency without anemia is itself clinically significant. It can also cause anemia symptoms such as fatigue, impaired functioning, and exercise intolerance (Garcia-Casal, 2021). In this course, IDA in adults will be covered in depth. The goal is to provide pharmacists with the confidence and up-to-date knowledge base so that they can help be part of the “all hands on deck” approach to preventing, identifying, and treating iron deficiency, the most common cause of anemia.

Course Overview
Dizziness is a nonspecific term used by patients to describe symptoms related to vestibular dysfunction, presyncope, disequilibrium, psychiatric disorders, and other etiologies. A primary complaint of dizziness accounts for 5.6 million clinic visits annually in the United States. Accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of dizziness is very important. Dizziness and vertigo in the elderly elevates risks for falls, the leading cause of disability and death from injury in this population. However, considerable practice variations exist in the management of dizziness and vertigo. This variance between guideline recommendations and clinical practice suggests an important role for educational intervention.
