About the Author/Presenter 
Dr. John Jowers, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS, is a board-certified sports clinical specialist and certified strength and conditioning coach based in Rockville, Maryland. As the head physical therapist at Launch Physical Therapy and Fitness Coaching, he specializes in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurologic, and systemic conditions, including running injuries, ACL reconstructions, hip labrum surgeries, and cervicogenic headaches, among many others. Dr. Jowers earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland College Park. His treatment approach incorporates advanced techniques such as functional dry needling, spinal manipulation, kinesiotaping, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, and active release therapy. He teaches professionally on a variety of topics, including sarcopenia, proprioception, cardiac health, sleep optimization, and athletic training.
