About the Author/Presenter 
Pieter L. de Smidt, PT, DPT, MTC, cert MDT, cert DN, trained in The Netherlands and has practiced as a physical therapist since 1988. He moved to the U.S. in 1991 and primarily worked in outpatient orthopedic PT clinics and fitness facilities. He specializes in the treatment of sports- and spine-related injuries and holds multiple certifications in manual therapy, osteopathic manipulation, and dry needling.
