  • 6 hours – Ethics (completion of Texas jurisprudence exam will count as 1 hour of continuing education in counselor ethics)
  • 3 hours - Cultural Diversity or Competency
  • 1 hour - Human Trafficking 
  • 6 hours - Supervision, if licensee has supervisor status

Human Trafficking and Exploitation: The Texas Requirement is approved by the HHSC as of October 16, 2025.
