NEW! DEA MATE ACT:
Beginning with DEA initial registrations or renewals starting June 27, 2023, all DEA-registered practitioners (with the exception of DVM-only license holders) are required to complete 8 hours of one-time training on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders.

Mandatory Subjects:

4 hours - Infection Control
2 hours - Misuses and abuse of controlled substances, the prescribing of opioids, or addiction, if licensee holds a Nevada controlled substance permit (DEA)
6 hours - Anesthesia, if licensee holds an Anesthesia administration permit

One-time Requirements for Renewal:

4 hours - Relating to the medical consequences of an act of terrorism that involves the use of a weapon of mass destruction (within 2 years of initial licensure)
