Here's what you need to renew your Washington Dental license

NEW! DEA MATE ACT:
Beginning with DEA initial registrations or renewals starting June 27, 2023, all DEA-registered practitioners (with the exception of DVM-only license holders) are required to complete 8 hours of one-time training on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders.

Mandatory Subjects:

  • 2 hours - Health Equity NEW!
  • 1 hour - Jurisprudence examination (available here)
  • 3 hours - Opioids (one-time requirement at first full CE reporting period for dentists licensed to prescribe opioids)
  • 3 hours - Suicide Prevention (must be on Department approved training list; one-time requirement at first full CE reporting period)

Online Limitations

There is no limit, but only 30 minutes for every one online hour completed counts toward continuing education.
