Online Info
2 hrs must be related to any one or combination of: (1) infection control/occupational hazards, (2) oral effects of tobacco use, and (3) oral effects of substance abuse. Dentists must complete 3 hrs. drug diversion training/best practices perscribing controlled substances. (This may be waived if dentist did not perscribe controlled sustances during reporting period). Each applicant upon initial licensure shall complete at least 3 hours regarding drug diversion training and best practice prescribing of controlled substances training within one year of receiving his or her initial license from the Board. --- BLS cannot be online unless there is a skills examination w/certified intructor. Class 2 anesthesia certificate holders must complete at least 6 hours of CE and class 3 and class 4 anesthesia permit holders must complete 16 hours CE in specific topic areas defined and which will count toward total hours req. for profession.
Online Limitations
A Max. of 50% for supervised self-instruction category (online/HS/Correspondence) and 10% for non-supervised self-instruction (correspondence/HS/online/ for total of 60% approved for HS. ONLY DIFF. IS TESTING MECHANISM must accompany supervised (50%) self-instruction.
