Trigger Point Therapy
About the Course
Trigger point therapy can be utilized to treat chronic and acute pain as well as radiating neuromuscular symptoms arising from distant trigger points. This course defines and identifies trigger point physiology and their ability to cause local and global chronic and acute pain and other neurological symptoms. Muscle anatomy of the face, neck, shoulders, back, and hips are reviewed along with the associated referral symptoms. Hands-on demonstrations are provided for the muscles commonly associated with headaches, as well as common trigger points in the posterior torso and hips. Self-care techniques for treating trigger points commonly associated with headaches are also demonstrated.

About the Author
??????????????????A graduate of Tucson, Arizona’s acclaimed Desert Institute of the Healing Arts, John Vinacci has been practicing massage since 1999 using a variety of clinical techniques. Now, having been in the field for two decades, Mr. Vinacci has a strong desire to help train the next generation of massage therapists. He is a fitness enthusiast, an obstacle course racer, adventure hiker, musician, and freelance writer who loves animals. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from Portland State University.
