Elective Hours: 20

Online Info

Mandatory Hours:

  • A minimum of four hours must be in professional ethics, client or patient communication, professional roles and boundaries, or Washington state massage laws and rules.
  • WAC 246-12-820 requires that health care professionals must complete a minimum of two hours in health equity (Implicit Bias) continuing education training at least once every four years.
  • Maintenance of certification in American Heart Association CPR or equivalent. (A maximum of four hours is allowed per reporting period)

Online Limitations

A minimum of eight hours must be in person and directly supervised involving the participation of the direct application of massage therapy, therefore only sixteen hours are allowed through homestudy.

**CPR courses must be taken in-person, so if you are using the maximum 4 hours allowed of CPR towards your total 24 CE hours, then the maximum hours allowed by homestudy would drop to 12 hours.**
