Artificial Intelligence in Nursing
About the Course
What is artificial intelligence (AI)? How is it being used in healthcare today? How is it already influencing nursing care? Artificial intelligence is not a new technology. It has been around for decades. As technology continues to evolve and people train the associated technological algorithms with more data to become smarter, technology really can begin to perform some humanlike tasks. Computers are essentially developing a cognitive type of ability, based on how the technology is designed, to work in healthcare from assisting with preparing hospital charges for billing to intelligent robots assisting patients and healthcare professionals. There are a lot of advantages with intelligence technology, but where can “help” cross the line over into concern?
