Cerebral Palsy: Diagnosis, Assessment, and Intervention Approaches
Course Overview
This course is designed to equip clinicians with the latest evidence-based literature and practical tools for treating cerebral palsy (CP). This course will educate learners on how to utilize standardized assessments and create client-centered intervention plans tailored for children with CP, their families, and caregivers. The goal is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills needed to improve the quality of life for children with CP through effective and compassionate care. Explore the best practices and strategies in managing and treating pediatric cerebral palsy.

- Categorize medical definitions and symptomology of cerebral palsy
- Differentiate common comorbidities and impact on functionality

- Explore standardized evaluations tools pertinent for children with cerebral palsy
- Compare and contrast evidence-based and innovative interventions to improve functional and occupational participation
- Arrange intervention plans in case study scenarios

About the Author/Presenter
Meredith Chandler, OTR/L, has practiced as an occupational therapist in the United States for 11 years, working as a clinician, educator, and researcher. Her areas of study and practice include sensory integration, autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders and treatment, adult rehabilitation, and psychosocial conditions. She is married with four children and enjoys theater, music, running, yoga, painting, and spending time with her family.
