About the Course
This intermediate-level course is intended for healthcare professionals interested in or have a role in compounding. The activity will review key changes in the current sterile and nonsterile compounding standards, set forth by the United States Pharmacopeia that went into effect on November 1, 2023.

About the Author/Presenter
Shyam Gelot, PharmD, BCPS, is a pharmacist and continuing education content creator who earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition, he completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Gelot has pharmacy practice experience in the community, hospital, and academic settings.
How to Receive Credit
- Read the entire course online or in print which requires a 3-hour commitment of time.
- After completion of the course, complete the final examination. A passing grade of 75% is required. Test questions link content to learning outcomes as a method to enhance individualized learning and material retention.
- Note to Nursing professionals: Depending on your state requirements, you will be asked to either affirm that you have completed the course, or you will be required to complete the Post-test included in the course.
- Provide required personal information and payment information.
- Complete the mandatory course evaluation.
- Print your Certificate of Completion.
