Here's what you need to renew your New York Pharmacy license

3 hours on strategies and techniques to reduce medication and prescription errors.

Online Limitations

Education Law requires that registered pharmacists complete continuing education. A minimum of 45 contact hours (at least 23 live) is required in each three-year registration period.

The 45 hours required must include at least three credits (home study or live) of formal continuing education on strategies and techniques to reduce medication and prescription errors (effective 9/1/03) and at least three credits (home study or live) of formal continuing education pertaining to pharmaceutical compounding (effective 1/1/23).
