Child Abuse Identification and Reporting
Iowa PTs and PTAs must complete 2 hours of training in child abuse identification and reporting once every three years. This mandatory reporter training is only available through the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services.

Renewal CE Requirements

Clinical Application Hours
Physical therapists must complete a minimum of 30 of their 40 required hours directly related to the clinical application of physical therapy. Physical therapist assistants must complete a minimum of 15 of their 20 required hours directly related to the clinical application of physical therapy.
