Health Equity
Washington PTs must complete 2 hours of health equity training every renewal period (WAC 246-12-820 requires a minimum of 2 hours in health equity/implicit bias training at least once every four years).

One-Time Requirements

Suicide Assessment
Washington PTs must complete 3 hours of suicide assessment training as a one-time requirement.

Practice-Based or Conditional Requirements

Employment Hours
Washington PTs must complete 200 employment hours applying physical therapy knowledge and skills every 2 years.

Spinal Manipulation Endorsement
Physical therapists who hold a spinal manipulation endorsement must complete at least 10 hours of continuing education directly related to spinal manipulation every two years, with at least 5 of those hours related to procedural techniques and application of spinal manipulation.
