Mandatory Subjects:
2 hours of Medical Error Prevention every renewal, in addition to general hours. 2 hours of Domestic Violence every third renewal, included in general hours. 1 hour on human trafficking, one-time requirement. The course is included in general hours and must be completed by January 1, 2021. In addition, for all first time renewals physician assistants are required: 2 hours of Medical Error Prevention; and1 hour on HIV/AIDS, one-time requirement. PA’s with prescribing privileges must complete 10 hours CME in the specialty area of their supervising physician. These hours can count toward the general 100 hours CME noted above.
