Implicit Bias Training
Applicants must complete 2 hours of implicit bias training within the 5-year period preceding issuance of licensure or registration, one time, and 1 additional hour for each year of the license/registration cycle at every renewal thereafter.

Human Trafficking Identification
Licensees must complete training in identifying victims of human trafficking, one time.

Controlled Substances Awareness (Prescribers/Dispensers)
Beginning with applications and renewals on or after May 28, 2024, licensed prescribers or dispensers of controlled substances must complete training in opioids and controlled substances awareness every renewal period.

Federal Requirements
DEA MATE Act Requirement
DEA-registered practitioners, except those who are solely veterinarians, must complete an 8-hour training on treating and managing patients with opioid or other substance use disorders. This applies one time to DEA registrations or renewals submitted on or after June 27, 2023.
