The American Society of Radiologic Technologists has selected 61 radiologic science students to participate in the 2013 ASRT Student Leadership Development Program.
Now in its third year, the program allows students to get to know the ASRT and experience its governance process, attend educational sessions and network with medical imaging and radiation therapy leaders.
Students will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the ASRT Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, June 13-16, in Albuquerque, N.M. In addition, participants will attend two specific educational courses at the Symposium and be assigned a professional mentor during the House of Delegates meeting.
As part of the application process, students were required to write a 500-700 word essay on how they expect to grow professionally by participating in the program. Winners were chosen from more than 130 entries submitted by radiologic science students from around the country.
